Care for Kids Concert
Each spring, the Office of Philanthropy invites the Sheppard Pratt community and the general public to attend the Care for Kids Concert, benefiting Sheppard Pratt’s youngest patients as well as the students in its 12 special education schools. Event proceeds go directly to the Care for Kids Fund, which supports patient and student needs that Sheppard Pratt is unable to meet through its operational budget alone. In recent years, our youngest patients have received clothing, prescription medication, playground equipment, musical instruments and much more. Students have benefited from field trips, therapeutic horseback riding, bicycles, computers and books.
In recent years, the Care for Kids Concert has featured comedian Bob Newhart, singer-songwriters Neil Sedaka and Judy Collins and, most recently, the Cast of Beatlemania, a Beatles tribute band. On average, each concert has raised $90,000 to replenish the Care for Kids Fund.
